Actually, today is Saturday but it was snowing. My son had a choir competition in Greenville, Ohio that we got on the road for before 7am. On a Saturday!
Anyway, we stopped in Tipp City on the way back and while he was shopping, I scouted for photos. From my warm car. Listening to Dr. Horrible’s Sing-a-long Blog. Great tunes in that show. Anyway, I found these colored chairs sitting against a yellow wall. They were lightly dusted in snow, but still colorful. I thought about what I could do with them, they were just sitting there, all innocent and peaceful. So I moved them around to my liking, took some shots and here’s my favorite. Enjoy.
Two of my favorite photographers are Jay Maisel and Joe McNally. Both out of New York City and just workaholic shooters. Jay is the master of street photography and Joe is the go to guy when National Geographic is stuck on how to do something. I have learned so much from watching these guys teach and reading their books. Just looking at their photographs is a lesson. Jay is a master of color and I thought about how he would look at the color of these chairs against the clapboard siding. I think I got it right.
